| Learning in the Tao
Tao at Play grows out of the qigong meditation and teaching of Marc Heusner.
Tao at Play uses qigong to help people experience the world of subtle or vital energy, pointed to in various cultures and traditions as qi, prana, ruach, pneuma, anima, spirit, barakah, etc.
Tao at Play explores the deeper practices of qigong — known as neigong; literally: inner work — without getting attached to any metaphysical interpretations.
The intent is to refine practical approaches that help people develop self awareness and a practical understanding of the mind-body relationship. The emphasis is on learning how to do things for yourself.
Marc Heusner
Marc has always been fascinated by synthesizing different points of view, and has spent 28 years exploring various Western and Eastern psychological, spiritual, and bodywork approaches.
In qigong he discovered a down-to-earth way of working with awareness, movement, and meditative states.
Through elements of various qigong systems and complementary approaches, Marc helps his students trust their own internal perceptions and develop their abilities to work with them. He's delighted to teach techniques that in too many meditation traditions are far more complicated than necessary.
Marc offers classes and private lessons at his office in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood. He has also taught qigong classes and workshops at the Zhong Yuan Qigong Center, Eastlake Yoga, Brenneke School of Massage, One Sky Medicine, and Breitenbush Hot Springs. Marc studies with and translates for Dr. Liu Dong of the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School of Paris, France, and Portland, Oregon.
